BIBLE SCHOOL FOCUS#4
PRACTICAL OUTREACH
"And he said to them, 'Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.'" Mark 16:15
Jesus sent out His disciples to share the good news they had experienced through their time with Him. These men had been radically changed and now had the duty to proclaim it! Timberline understands the value of sharing and applying what we learn, as well as fulfilling the commandment of Jesus, and for those reasons practical outreach is a weekly occurrence.

Free PB&J sandwiches and fun conversation with skiers and snowboarders is one way our Mountain Ministry team shares the life of Jesus at Winter Park Resort
Weekly outreach is varied and reaches practical needs with groups of students serving in different avenues around Colorado. Ministry can look like blessing the homeless in Denver with pizza and intentional conversation, helping out mothers in the valley with childcare and housework, serving the local ski and ride community with free food and gear tuning, or playing games and chatting with the elderly.
Everyone has tangible, physical needs that the Body of Christ should come alongside and meet. But even more so is the spiritual holes we have the tools to fill with the power of Christ!
In a dead world hungering to come alive, we are indwelled with the abundant life of Christ, and students and staff head off campus every week with the ultimate purpose to share that incredible truth with those who hunger the most.

Outreach and evangelism can be one of the hardest things to engage in! We get excited to see students grow in their reliance upon the Holy Spirit in the midst of the physical, emotional, and mental weariness that ministry can often bring. We believe, have seen, and have felt the radical power of God transforming students and strangers alike as the gospel is presented in various contexts throughout the year.

Two missions trips are included in tuition. First semester's trip is to the heart of New York City, working with various ministries that serve all types of people. This week-long trip is a life-changing opportunity to learn what evangelism can look like in urban context. Second semester has the options of a service trip that shares the love of God practically and physically or an international trip supporting the body of Christ cross-culturally, giving students a glimpse into global missions.

The body of Christ is global and constantly growing. Whether it be inner city New York, a village in Kenya, the beaches of Santa Cruz, California, the streets of Nacogdoches, Texas, or the mountainous Fraser valley, Timberline desires to be actively involved in what the Lord is doing around the globe and we are excited to bring students into that adventure!
